UG Campus Living & Hostel Conditions Survey
An extensive survey detailing hostel pricing, room crowding, water availability, and utility quality across campuses in Ghana.
StudentLens-DIP is a student-led research and data intelligence organization dedicated to collecting, analyzing, and presenting evidence-based insights that improve student life and drive meaningful change across universities in Ghana.
StudentLens-DIP is committed to ensuring that student voices are not just heard but measured.
Through surveys, research, data analysis, and strategic communication, we transform student experiences into actionable evidence for decision-makers. We believe that structured data is the most objective and impactful tool for building bridges between student bodies and university administrations.
Conducted and managed entirely by students who understand campus issues firsthand.
Replacing anecdotal complaints with statistical realities that administrators cannot ignore.
Strict confidentiality guidelines and voluntary survey parameters protect respondent identities.
Reports and metrics are made available to the public, fostering accountability and trust.
To collect, analyze, and communicate student-centered data that supports informed decision-making and positive institutional change.
To become Ghana's most trusted student research and data intelligence organization.
The Research and Survey Office is the foundation of everything StudentLens-DIP produces. This is where it all begins. Every survey we conduct, every question we ask, and every piece of data we collect starts in this office. Without the work of this team, there is no data. Without data, there is no StudentLens-DIP.
Design structured questionnaires and survey instruments, ensuring every question generates meaningful, objective data.
Collect responses across universities in Ghana using strict parameters for voluntary and anonymous participation.
Formulate background research, review existing academic literature, and establish rigorous ethical compliance frameworks.
Inspect incoming response datasets to validate data completeness, correct filtering issues, and identify outliers.
Implement stringent procedures to protect participant privacy, encrypt respondents' personal markers, and enforce anonymous protocols.
"You can ignore a complaint. But you cannot ignore data. This office is where student voices become numbers — and numbers become evidence that cannot be ignored."
The Data and Analysis Office is the analytical engine of StudentLens-DIP. This department processes, cleans, sorts, and analyzes all field data, converting raw feedback numbers into clear insights that drive institutional conversations.
We structure database schemas, strip corrupt entries, format responses, and compile datasets to ensure analytics tools ingest clean datasets.
Executing complex mathematical models, variance tests, and frequency distributions to establish statistical significance in surveys.
Modeling student datasets to build predictive matrices, track historic student sentiments, and identify latent welfare challenges on campus.
Rendering dense survey metrics into accessible bar charts, linear trends, and graphs that communicate problems at a glance.
Synthesizing statistical outputs into exhaustive, professional reports complete with research abstracts, methodologies, and actionable recommendations.
"Data without analysis is just noise. This office turns that noise into a clear, credible, undeniable signal."
The Communication and Design Office is responsible for how StudentLens-DIP looks and how it speaks. They translate complex academic reports into clear, visually engaging media that matches modern brand guidelines.
Drafting formal circulars, press releases, letters to administration, and structural copy for institutional distribution.
Creating social media slides, event graphics, survey flyer banners, and digital assets following our brand identity guidelines.
Maintaining design consistency, standardizing logos, custom patterns, color swatches, and typography configurations across departments.
Polishing report layouts, adding custom formatting to document margins, styling tables, and preparing ready-to-print briefs.
Assisting the Research and Media divisions with necessary design outputs, report visual edits, and presentation templates for stakeholders.
"StudentLens-DIP could produce the most important student data in the history of UG — but if it is poorly presented, no one will read it."
The Media and Publicity Office is the voice of StudentLens-DIP to the world. They handle digital campaigns, manage online platforms, and ensure our research reaches students, university leaders, and national stakeholders.
Developing posting calendars, monitoring online feedback, and growing digital communities on Twitter, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp channels.
